He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC). Outside of T. Rowe Price, Preston is chairman of the Board of The Hill School, a college preparatory boarding school in Pottstown, PA.

Mr. Evans earned a B.A. in psychology, with distinction, from the University of Virginia, where he was a Jefferson Scholar. He holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Mr. Evans also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation. In addition, Mr. Evans is chairman of the Catholic Charities of Maryland Investment Committee.
