iGrain India - New Delhi . Due to favorable weather conditions in major producing areas, domestic production of Chironji has improved this year due to which its supply availability situation can remain smooth throughout the year. Although, based on the equation of demand and supply, normal fluctuations in prices are likely to continue, but it seems difficult to see a huge rise in it.
Last year, the price of Chironji was very high and strong due to which a lot of emphasis was laid on increasing its production in leading producing states like Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Orissa. Its major producing areas include Betul Ganj, Multai, Bastar, Shahdol, Kalahandi, Jagdalpur and Amarwada etc.
Due to prices not rising as much as last year, producers are reducing the clearance of kernels in the raw markets due to which there is a fear of shortage there, but looking at the condition of the crop, it seems that artificial shortage is being created right now. .
Soon arrivals in the mandis will start normalizing and then the possibility of huge rise in prices will fade away. One special thing is that this time along with better production, the quality of Chironji is also said to be very good, hence the possibility of a sharp fall in its price is also very less. Compared to last year, this time the production is estimated to increase by more than 50 percent.
Good arrival of Chironji has started in Jharkhand and Orissa, while supplies are already coming in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
