In addition, it is involved in the design, engineering, manufacture, and installation of equipment for water flow control and hydropower generation plants; and offers shop/site fabricated fixed wheel, radial, and slide gates of penstocks, hoists and cranes, and related equipment. Further, the company provides fabricated equipment, such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, and other related equipment for hydrocarbon, fertilizer, power, and other industries. Additionally, it offers thermoset moduling materials and synthetic resins for use in electrical accessories and components, automotive parts, textile machinery, railway signaling parts, grinding wheels, friction materials, laminates, melamine crockery, adhesives, inks, and tire industries. The company was formerly known as Cimmco Birla Ltd. and changed its name to Cimmco Limited in April 2010. The company was incorporated in 1943 and is based in Kolkata, India. Cimmco Limited is a subsidiary of Titagarh Wagons Limited.
