Enel Generación Peru S.A.A. generates and sells electricity in Peru. It operates five hydroelectric plants with a total capacity of 600 MW located in the basins of the Santa Eulalia and Rimac Rivers, Lima; two hydroelectric plants with a total capacity of 195.4 MW located in the department of Junín; and two thermoelectric generation plants with a total capacity of 410.6 MW located in the Cercado de Lima and 471.6 MW located in Ventanilla. The company was formerly known as Edegel S.A.A. and changed its name to Enel Generación Peru S.A.A. in October 2016. The company was founded in 1906 and is based in Lima, Peru. Enel Generación Peru S.A.A. operates as a subsidiary of Enel Perú S.A.C.
